Hello good eaters of the world!
There are tens of thousands of food and recipe sites out there already. I’ve looked at most of them! There are often anomalies and strangenesses in them, poorly constructed recipe instructions and so forth. Well, not all of them, but some of them. Many of the supposedly “cheap” recipes I find have some spendy ingredients. I hereby promise to post only good, tested recipes, with clear instructions and ingredients you can find in a small town grocery store in North America.
I was going to just add recipe posts to my main blog, “Anglican, Plain,” but there are plenty of people who are not that interested in my uninteresting life who might be interested in good food. Comment quickly if you find a recipe difficult or unclear, or if you need advice on what’s happening with the results.
Note that I am a Plain Christian of Anglican persuasion, living in Canada. There will be information appearing seasonally on keeping the fasts, both Great and Minor, and on Christian festivals and related food and celebration. There will be nothing on other faith practices, nor on secular holidays that Plain or Orthodox people don’t keep, such as Halloween and Valentine’s Day. Plain Christmas is just that. “Easter” is Pascha for us, the commemoration of the Resurrection of our Lord, God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Just to let you know.
